Job Purpose:
Manufacturing Technician – Responsible for key activities to support Supervision with daily management of operational KPIs, products and processes with additional responsibilities to support audit preparation activities, documentation updates, continuous improvement activities and day to day planning of resources.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand, interpret and produce verbal and written instructions.
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of typical Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally and foster good working relationships across internal departments.
- Good working knowledge of GMP (good manufacturing practices) and basic manufacturing quality systems/standards.
- Organised and structured with ability to set and maintain standards that will help the department improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests and work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote positive culture towards Health, Safety and Environment within the department.
- Review and update operational instructions to drive process and quality improvements.
- Assist the business unit with operational and support functions to ensure business KPIs are met.
- Carry out internal product and process auditing.
- Ensure process controls and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
- Ensure compliance and assist in adherence to the quality management systems (AS9100 / NADCAP)
- Support /participate in the main annual recertification audits (AS9100 and NADCAP).
- Initiate and drive continual improvement activities to improve cost, quality and quality compliance.
- Attend various departmental meetings and track / facilitate actions.

Hours of work:- 38 hours per week
08.00 – 16.30 (Monday to Thursday)
08.00 – 14.30 (Friday) with 30 minutes unpaid lunch breaks on each day
Salary:- dependent on experience
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
(increasing by 1 loyalty day every 5 years service to a total of 5 additional days)
Company pension after 3 months – 5% employer, 4% employee contribution
