Shift Pattern: 176 hours per month (2 on, 4 off)

Nirvana Residential are looking for outstanding individuals to join our team as a Support Worker. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who need someone to believe in them, helping them develop the skills and confidence to move towards independence and adult life.
About the role
As a Support Worker in our established children’s home, you will:
- Support young people to attend meetings and reviews
- Support young people through targeted key working
- Play an active role as a Keyworker, including writing care plans, risk assessments and other reports, and attending meetings
- Support young people to gain and develop independent skills
- Promote and safeguard the welfare and safety of young people
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, emergency services, and the young people we support
- Maintain accurate notes and records
- Monitor health and safety within the home and ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Complete training and engage in development opportunities
- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people with complex needs and behaviours
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the home
What we’re looking for
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- A positive “can do” attitude with a person-centred approach
- The right to work in the UK
- Good communication skills, with a strong level of spoken and written English
- A respectful, non-discriminatory approach to care
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable:
- Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
