We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our dedicated team at our supported living home in Uxbridge.
Role Overview:
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our supported living home. Your primary aim will be to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters personal development and independence among the young people we serve. You will lead a team of support staff, ensuring high standards of care while promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the supported living home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of staff, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each young person, focusing on their educational and employment goals.
- Facilitate and encourage participation in educational, vocational, and recreational activities.
- Maintain oversight of health and safety standards within the home, ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with external agencies, educational institutions, and employers to enhance the support network for young people.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
Educational Qualifications:
1. Relevant Degree:
- A degree in social work, psychology, health and social care, or a related field is often preferred.
2. NVQ or QCF Qualifications:
- Level 3 or 5 in Health and Social Care or Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.
Experience:
1. Direct Care Experience:
- Hands-on experience in supported living, residential care, or similar settings, especially with young adults or individuals with disabilities.
2. Supervisory or Management Experience:
- Experience in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership capabilities, team management, and conflict resolution.
Skills:
1. Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and other professionals.
2. Organisational Skills:
- Ability to manage scheduling, staff assignments, and documentation effectively.
3. Problem-Solving Skills:
- Capacity to address challenges and find solutions in a supportive manner.
4. Empathy and Patience:
- A caring approach to working with young adults, understanding their needs and challenges.
5. Knowledge of Legislation:
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.
*Additional Qualifications:*
1. Specialised Training:
- Training in specific areas such as mental health, autism awareness, or behavior management may be beneficial.
2. Leadership Training:
- Workshops or courses focused on leadership, team dynamics, and conflict resolution.
Working Hours:
This role involves a combination of day shifts and sleep-in shifts to ensure 24/7 support for residents.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
