We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to residents in a care environment. In this role, you will deliver personalized care and assistance, ensuring residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior, documenting findings accurately
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safe and effective treatment
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote healthy eating habits
- Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Conduct patient observation and monitoring during shifts to identify potential issues early and respond promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards
- Collaborate with nursing staff and social workers to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a warm environment that encourages social interaction and engagement
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Certified in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications such as Care Certificate compliance are advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior
- Experience with medication administration and following care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Valid certification in patient safety procedures such as CPR or first aid is required
