Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support complex safeguarding cases, offering expert guidance to social workers and contributing to care planning and decision-making.
- Undertake in-depth assessments, ensuring a high standard of analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
- Provide professional supervision and mentoring to less experienced staff, fostering good practice and continuous learning.
- Represent the local authority in multi-agency meetings, strategy discussions, and court proceedings.
- Promote a child-focused approach while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Extensive post-qualification experience in safeguarding and child protection.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and provide professional leadership.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months (or on the update service).
