We are looking for a Medical Coder to join our busy GP Practice, working within our Operations Team. Our Coders are responsible for coding relevant information into our patients' healthcare records using the EMIS Web clinical system.
We provide services to over 17,000 patients in Bicester and the surrounding areas and are growing fast, our Operations Team is key to the smooth running of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately code date onto patient records in line with Snomed
- Identifying clinical information, coding appropriately and completing detailed actions
- Scanning of patient documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' healthcare records
- Amending and / or making additions to medical records to ensure that correct and complete information is within each patients' electronic record
- Additional ad hoc tasks within the team as required
Previous experience in a medical setting would be preferred, along with these skills:
- Experience of administrative work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to prioritise a busy and changing workload, working to tight deadlines
- Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
