We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Carpentry & Multi-Skills Instructor to join our Construction and Building Services department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who is passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping learners develop the practical skills needed for successful careers in the construction industry.
Working with students of varying ages and abilities, you will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training in carpentry and a range of construction-related multi-skills, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching and practical workshop sessions in carpentry and multi-skills
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and practical training activities
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe, organised, and industry-standard workshop environment
- Support learners in developing technical skills, employability skills, and professional behaviours
- Monitor attendance, achievement, and learner engagement
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding requirements
About You
You will have:
- Significant industry experience in carpentry, joinery, or a related construction trade
- Strong practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safe working practices
- The ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to delivering outstanding learner outcomes
Pay: £140.00-£180.00 per day
