Drama Teacher & Theatre Director (Saturday Only)

We are looking for an experienced, creative Drama Teacher & Theatre Director to lead our acting department and create high-quality theatre productions and musical performances.
Working alongside our dance and singing teachers, you will independently plan rehearsals, direct performances, and inspire children to develop confidence, creativity, and strong acting skills. We're looking for someone with a passion for storytelling, an eye for staging and visuals, and the ability to produce engaging performances that captivate audiences.
This is a Saturday-only position during term time (approximately 36 weeks per year).
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging drama classes.
- Independently direct rehearsals and theatre productions.
- Create strong performances through effective planning, staging, and performance coaching.
- Work collaboratively with dance and singing teachers.
- Develop students' confidence, creativity, and acting skills.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute creative ideas for stagecraft, lighting, sound, costumes, and visual storytelling (desirable).
About You
- Degree or recognised qualification in Performing Arts, Drama, or Theatre.
- Experience directing theatre productions or musicals.
- Experience working with children of varying ages and abilities.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
- Experience with technical theatre, lighting, or sound is an advantage.
