Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Develop new recipes and menu ideas in collaboration with management
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service
- Ensure all food production meets health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Serve dishes to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent culinary skills with an eye for presentation and detail
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
- Experience in food preparation, restaurant service, and hospitality operations
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts including evenings and weekends as required
