We’re expanding and looking for reliable Factory Operatives to join our busy Timber Cutting Shop, producing high-quality engineered timber products using advanced automated machinery, including industry-leading Hundegger CNC woodworking systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern timber manufacturing environment, operating precision CNC equipment and supporting the production of bespoke timber frame components.
Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm (45 hours/week)
Positions Available:
- Hundegger CNC Machine Operators
- CNC Upcut Saw Operators
- Vertical Wall Saw Operators
- General Labourers / 2nd Man
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Hundegger CNC woodworking machinery and other saws/equipment safely and accurately.
- Set up, monitor, and support automated timber cutting processes.
- Read and follow production drawings, cutting schedules, and machining outputs.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy of timber components.
- Support general factory, material handling, and housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a safe, tidy workspace and uphold Health & Safety standards at all times.
About You:
- Previous manufacturing, CNC machining, timber frame, or woodworking experience preferred.
- Experience operating Hundegger machinery would be a major advantage, although full training will be provided for the right candidates.
- Comfortable working with technical drawings, measurements, and production schedules.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, hands-on, and eager to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and good teamwork skills.
