We are seeking an experienced and motivated AV Technician to join our Engineering team, supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of audio visual systems across the resort.
The Role
Working within the Engineering department and reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a wide range of audio, visual, lighting, and show systems used throughout the resort.
This is a varied role that combines technical maintenance, fault finding, preventative maintenance, event support, and project work. You will work independently while collaborating closely with engineering, operations, entertainment teams, and external contractors to ensure the highest standards of reliability and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support audio visual, lighting, and show control systems across rides, attractions, and events.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults to minimise operational downtime.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules.
- Support the technical delivery of live events, entertainment, and seasonal experiences.
- Conduct daily operational checks and inspections of AV equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as required.
- Assist with system upgrades, installations, and improvement projects.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures and industry standards.
- Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
About You
You will be a practical and proactive technician with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality technical experiences.
You may have experience within:
- Entertainment or attraction venues
- Theme parks or visitor attractions
- Live events and production
- Theatre and show environments
- Commercial AV installations
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of audio, lighting, visual, and control systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
