Major Recruitment are recruiting a Production Operative/ FLT Driver on behalf of our prestigious manufacturing client based in Burnley.
This role is ideal for a hardworking, reliable, and punctual individual with a strong background in production or manufacturing environments.
Please note that this position involves heavy lifting and the use of an FLT Counterbalance truck to move materials across site. A valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential; unfortunately, in-house licences cannot be accepted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working within a fast-paced production environment
- Operating production machinery to mix raw materials
- Setting and monitoring machinery
- Using an FLT Counterbalance truck to move up to 2-tonne boxes around the site
- Filling, moving, and weighing product boxes
- Using the company ERP computer system
- Operating hand tools safely and effectively
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour (including shift allowance)
Working Hours – Rotating Shifts:
Morning Shift:
Monday to Thursday: 5:30am – 1:30pm
Friday: 5:30am – 12:30pm
Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 9:30pm
Friday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm
Duration: Temporary to Permanent opportunity
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment
- Previous machine operating experience (highly desirable)
- Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
- Computer literate
- Reliable and punctual with excellent timekeeping skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely and effectively
