About the Role
The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Built Environment is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Plumbing and Gas team. You will deliver engaging learning experiences to a diverse range of students across a variety of programmes and qualification levels.
As a Lecturer, you will contribute to excellence in learning and teaching through the preparation and delivery of high-quality lessons, practical training, assessments, and learner support. You will play a key role in helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for successful careers in the plumbing, gas, and renewable technologies sectors.
About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

Significant industry experience within the plumbing and/or gas sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
It is essential that you hold qualifications at SCQF Level 8 (or professional equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or can demonstrate substantial relevant industry experience.
Desirable Experience
Applications are particularly welcomed from individuals with:

Experience working within both plumbing and gas engineering environments.
- Knowledge of current plumbing and gas industry standards, legislation, and best practice.
- Experience of gas qualifications, accreditation requirements, and assessment processes.
- Knowledge of gas assessment procedures and competence frameworks.
- Experience or knowledge of renewable and low-carbon heating technologies.
- Experience of ACS management representative roles and responsibilities
