Full Time Coach Driver - Tigers Transport
About the Role
At Tigers Transport, no two days are the same. We specialise in private hire coach and minibus services, meaning you'll be driving a variety of journeys including corporate travel, school trips, airport transfers, sporting events, tours, weddings, day trips, and other private hire work across the UK.
As our work is driven by customer bookings, you'll work on a rotating shift pattern with no fixed days off. Your working days and hours will vary depending on operational demand, so flexibility is essential. Some shifts may involve early starts, late finishes, weekends, or overnight work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company coaches in accordance with all road traffic laws and DVSA regulations.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to passengers at all times.
- Complete thorough daily walkaround checks before and after every duty.
- Accurately report any vehicle defects using the company's defect reporting system and ensure vehicles are not operated if they are deemed unsafe.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle.
- Follow drivers' hours and tachograph regulations, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Keep accurate records and complete any required paperwork or digital documentation.
- Represent Tigers Transport professionally while dealing with customers, venues, schools, and corporate clients.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding delays, incidents, or changes to schedules.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK PCV (Category D) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 2 years' coach driving experience.
- Full right to work in the UK (proof will be required before employment).
- Excellent knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work varying shifts according to business demand.
