I am a lady in my early 30's with learning difficulties. I live with my family in a village in north Hertfordshire and love being part of family life, including going to watch rugby and visiting Spain for holidays. We have a Tibetan Terrier dog who is very much part of the family!
I am looking for someone who would not be bored by my limitations and would try to engage with me, even if at times I don’t appear to want to necessarily try something new! I would like someone who;
- will be part of a three carer team providing 24/7 cover in my own home,
- is female because intimate personal care is a required
- is happy to provide night and day cover from Saturday 10.00am to Sunday 10.00am every week.
- be to share the cover of the holiday absence and if available any sickness of their two colleagues.
I need support with my personal care and well being which includes supporting me to look after my house and belongings and preparing my meals plus enabling the social activities I enjoy. Some of the activities I particularly enjoy are; visiting the bowling alley, walking around local parks and lakes, day trips to the seaside, having coffee and lunches out and doing puzzles. I am open to trying anything that physically I am able to enjoy!
I am looking for a kind and reliable person who will motivate and empower me to become as independent as possible, whilst inspiring me to reach new personal challenges and goals.
My personal assistant would need to drive, and I will provide a car for use in driving me around. I am relatively physically able, but I do need support to ensure I keep safe when accessing the community, for example, when crossing roads or socialising with strangers.
