We are looking for a Plant Operations Manager who can take ownership of daily plant operations, equipment coordination, maintenance planning, and team performance. You are not just overseeing machinery or checking schedules. You are making sure plant operations run safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.
You will work closely with engineers, technicians, suppliers, logistics teams, and senior management to keep equipment, facilities, and operational workflows running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations Management: Oversee daily plant activities, machinery use, equipment scheduling, and operational workflows.
Team Leadership: Supervise engineers, technicians, operators, and support staff to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Maintenance Planning: Coordinate planned maintenance, inspections, servicing, repairs, and equipment availability.
Health and Safety: Ensure all plant operations follow company procedures, safety standards, site rules, and regulatory requirements.
Supplier and Contractor Coordination: Work with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to manage parts, repairs, inspections, and project requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Track productivity, downtime, service issues, maintenance performance, and operational costs.
Process Improvement: Identify delays, inefficiencies, and recurring issues, then introduce practical improvements to strengthen plant performance.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in plant operations, machinery services, manufacturing, engineering operations, equipment maintenance, or a similar technical environment.
Leadership: Experience supervising teams, coordinating workloads, managing contractors, and supporting day to day operational decisions.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of machinery, plant equipment, maintenance planning, safety procedures, and operational workflows.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with engineers, suppliers, contractors, clients, and management.
Problem Solving: Able to manage urgent issues, prioritise operational needs, reduce downtime, and make practical decisions under pressure.
Mindset: You are organised, safety focused, reliable, and proactive. You understand that strong plant operations depend on planning, teamwork, and consistent follow through.
Pay: £55,000.00-£57,000.00 per year
