Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock levels
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and properly stored after use
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operation
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Experience with food preparation or cooking can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role
