Job Overview
We are seeking a few passionate and dedicated Trainee or Experienced Artisan Bakers to join our dynamic bakery team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a variety of sourdough breads, and specialised items, following established recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the bakery workspace, ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialised tools with care and precision
- Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to the correct colour, texture, and quality standards
- Support food preparation activities by measuring ingredients accurately and adhering to food safety protocols
- Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages or issues promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all team members
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is preferred but not essential for trainees willing to learn
- Knowledge of baking techniques, culinary practices, and food safety standards is advantageous
- A genuine interest in artisan baking with a desire to develop specialised skills within the craft
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring ingredients and maintaining hygiene standards
- Flexibility and reliability to work during scheduled shifts
- Willingness to learn new techniques and take direction from senior bakers or supervisors
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
