Job Description – Cast Iron Operative (additional night payment)
Job Title: Cast Iron Operative
Reports To: Cast Iron Supervisor
Job Purpose
To work as part of a team in completion Roto Moulded and Sprayed Products agreed budgets and deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities – Production
- Production, packaging of finished products
- Receipt and processing of raw material
- Stock counts and verification
- Record accurate production figures and booking on of finished product
- Fork truck operation
- Any other work as directed
Duties and Responsibilities – Quality
· Ensure that any quality none conformance is identified and reported
· Record findings, take remedial action when required and ensure that only acceptable product is labelled and packaged for despatch;
· Ensure ownership and accountability for the quality of output
Training
· Training in all aspects of the cast iron department will be given
Personal Health & Safety Awareness

· Inform Brett Martin Ltd of any short comings in the protection arrangements for Health & Safety
· Ensure that all safety equipment is used and maintained in the correct way and any issues reported to the Technical & Quality Manager
Housekeeping
· Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department
· The workplace must be kept neat and tidy at all times and all waste material or product dealt with, as directed, in a prompt manner
· Ensure commitment to and compliance with Company TPM and 5S practices
Discipline
· Ensure that you are aware of and comply with all Company regulations, as contained in the Employee Handbook, Work Instructions and other control documentation
· Maintain acceptable standards of behaviour, attendance, time-keeping, etc., as detailed in the Employee Handbook and other control documentation
Communications
· Ensure that communications are maintained at the highest possible level, keeping the management team informed of impending situations which could develop into more serious problems
· Comply with the Company’s Team Briefing process
General
· Ensure compliance with the company’s Equal Opportunity Policy
· Any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with your training and experience
