Work base: Venue Cymru
Venue Cymru is the region’s busiest arts and events centre, comprising a 1,500-seat theatre, a 2,500-capacity arena, and a full range of high-quality conference and event spaces. We present a diverse arts programme, from West End shows to our own Young Creatives performances, and host high-profile conferences and events throughout the year, including the Harlech Food Expo and the Welsh Open Snooker Championship.
We are now recruiting for a competent Events Crew member to join our dedicated team.
You will be self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work flexibly in a demanding environment, both as part of a team and independently. The role involves a variety of duties across the complex, including:
- Preparing rooms for conferences, exhibitions, and meetings
- Clearing, storing, and handling furniture and equipment
- Undertaking general maintenance duties
- Occasionally assisting with theatre production get-ins, show running, and get-outs
A high standard of presentation and strong attention to detail are essential. The ability to interpret room plans and use IT systems would be an advantage. Previous experience in a similar events environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.
This is a permanent, part-time post based on an annualised hours contract, averaging 24 hours per week. Hours will be worked on a shift rota, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
To ensure adequate bilingual provision within the section, the ability to communicate in English is essential. The ability to converse in Welsh would be desirable.
