About Us
Silva Road Ltd T/A Ola's Takeaway is a fast-growing Afro-Nigerian street food business serving authentic Nigerian favourites including Jollof Rice, Suya, Plantain and Puff Puff. Having successfully built a loyal customer base through home catering and local events, we are now expanding into our branded takeaway trailer located at Tesco Serpentine Green.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused team members to join us on this exciting journey.
The Role
As a Food Trailer Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high food hygiene standards while serving our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Preparing and assembling food orders
- Reheating and serving food according to company procedures
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Keeping the trailer clean and organised throughout the day
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Opening and closing the trailer
- Supporting promotional activities and maintaining a positive brand image
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work weekends, including occasional Sundays
Desirable:
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, food service or retail
- Food Hygiene Certificate (training can be provided)
- Experience handling cash and card payments
- Interest in African and Caribbean cuisine
Working Hours
- Full-time position
- Typical operating hours between 10:30am and 8:30pm
- Weekend availability required
- Rotating rota system
