Digital Marketing Manager
About us
Helpbox is a fast-growing accountancy and tax business helping UK small business owners understand their finances, tax and compliance in plain English.
Over the last 18 months, we have grown our YouTube channel from 0 to 165,000 subscribers and now generate over 1 million views per month through educational accountancy and tax content.
We now want to turn that reach into a stronger commercial funnel, capturing more leads, nurturing them properly and converting more of our audience into booked sales calls.
The role
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to help us turn attention into enquiries, and enquiries into booked calls with our sales team.
This is a strategic and hands-on role. You will work closely with our YouTube/content team and sales team to build the bridge between audience growth and revenue growth.
You will be responsible for improving how we capture leads from our content, how we nurture those leads, and how we move the right prospects towards booking a call.
We need someone who can review what we have, decide the best direction, build the strategy and implement it.
Key responsibilities
- Build and improve the funnel from YouTube viewer to lead, and from lead to booked sales call.
- Identify the best opportunities to capture leads from our existing content and audience.
- Create and improve landing pages, lead magnets, forms, calls to action and follow-up journeys.
- Build email nurture campaigns that educate prospects and move them towards booking a call.
- Segment leads based on business type, interests, service need and buying intent.
- Plan and manage remarketing and retargeting campaigns across Google, YouTube, Meta and other relevant platforms.
- Work with the YouTube team to align content opportunities with lead generation goals.
- Work with the sales team to understand lead quality, objections and conversion barriers.
- Track performance across the funnel, including clicks, leads, booked calls and closed sales.
- Run tests across landing pages, emails, ads and calls to action to improve conversion rates.
- Help create sales and marketing assets that support the customer journey.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience turning content, social traffic or large audiences into leads, booked calls or sales opportunities.
- Strong understanding of digital funnels, lead capture, lead nurturing and conversion optimisation.
- Experience with email marketing, audience segmentation and marketing automation.
- Experience with remarketing and retargeting campaigns across Google, YouTube and Meta.
- Good commercial awareness and a focus on revenue, not vanity metrics.
- The ability to create the strategy and also deliver the work.
- Strong copywriting instincts and an understanding of trust-based marketing.
- Confidence working with both content teams and sales teams.
- A practical, test-and-learn approach to improving results.
Useful experience
Experience in any of the following would be helpful:
- Marketing for accountancy, tax, finance, SaaS, professional services, EdTech or B2B services.
- Building funnels from YouTube, webinars, newsletters, podcasts or educational content.
- Improving conversion from content traffic into sales calls.
- CRM, email marketing and automation tools.
- Tracking performance from first touch through to booked call and closed sale.
What success looks like
Success in this role means:
- More qualified leads from our YouTube audience and wider content.
- More booked sales calls for the sales team.
- Better lead quality and stronger conversion rates.
- A clear funnel from content to enquiry to customer.
- Smarter use of remarketing, email and nurture campaigns.
- A closer link between our fast-growing audience and commercial growth.
The person we are looking for
You will do well in this role if you are commercially minded, practical and comfortable taking ownership.
You should be excited by the opportunity to work with a fast-growing audience and build the systems that turn that audience into real business opportunities.
This role is for someone who can think strategically, act quickly, test ideas and improve the numbers.
