Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar staff to join our small team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering great customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our pub. Previous experience in hospitality is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a safe and friendly setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as require
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is not essential as training will be provided
- Good organisational skills with good time management
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are important for delivering a valued customer experience
Working Hours - Saturday and Sunday 12-6 with the opportunity of extra hours to cover staff holidays.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a local individually owned business within a small supportive team. We are looking for someome who is eager to learn and keen to provide a warm welcome for our guests.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
