Overview
We are recruiting a Duty Manager to help oversee the daily operations of The Black Grape - a restaurant specialising in small plates & wine. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service . An interest in wine is preferred but not essential. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience while maintaining high standards of service in a busy environment.
Duties
- Run service , managing a small team to provide excellent hospitality to our customers
- Supervise staff across both bar & floor to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Assist in training new staff members.
- Collaborate with senior management to manage staffing needs and employee performance.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience operating independent restaurants with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with bar operations, including cocktails, is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A commitment to upholding high standards of service and professionalism at all times.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
