We are Sweatpretty! A new company specialising in providing on the day hair braiding for fitness events and competitions around the country. We are seeking talented and personable Events Hair Braiders to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing braiding services at various events, ensuring clients receive exceptional hair styling that complements their occasion. The ideal candidate will provide a warm, supportive, and fun experience for every client, excellent customer service skills, and have the opportunity to give the client the confidence great hair can give. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a vibrant environment while contributing to the success of our event styling services.
This role will be mostly weekend based work as that is when these fitness events take place
Responsibilities
- Perform professional hair braiding services tailored to client preferences during events and special occasions
- Be able to perform these three braids, Dutch braid, French Plait and Bubble Braid both in 1 or 2 strands within 15 minutes
- Be able to travel to different events within your region
- Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and provide expert advice on choice of braids
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout all styling procedures
- Experience working in a high pace environment
- Assist with event management duties, including setup, pack down and maintaining a clean work environment
- Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner, fostering positive relationships
Experience
- Proven experience in hair braiding, with a portfolio of styles created for various occasions
- Previous experience in customer service roles
- Experience working with all types of hair
