Secondary Teaching Assistant
Contract: Supply / Long-term / Temp-to-perm
Pay: £95 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)
U-Educate are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Burton. We work with a wide network of schools and can offer flexible placements to suit your availability and career goals.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you may be:
- Supporting students in lessons on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management
- Providing support for pupils with SEND, SEMH, EAL, or additional learning needs
- Helping students stay engaged, focused, and confident in their learning
- Adapting support to meet the needs of different schools and age groups
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:
- Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Are flexible, proactive, and confident working in secondary settings
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Are passionate about supporting young people’s education and wellbeing
- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
