Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste
- Develop new menus and recipes to enhance the dining experience
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times
- Monitor quality control throughout the food preparation process
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with team members
- Previous experience in food service roles such as serving or hospitality is essential
