Job Description: Events and Partnership Executive
Part of the Sales and Operations team, you deliver well-run, personable events and nurture our relationships with the local community: our neighbours and local partners. The wider programming and partnership sourcing is led by an external partnerships manager; you work hand in hand with them, the events, sales and food and beverage team, taking partnerships and non-partnership events to life, owning execution, being present throughout, and reflecting our “sleep good, do good” ethos. Be a Brand Ambassador, build long-term local relationships, and aim for 100% conversion to direct and repeat bookings.
Key Responsibilities
· Own the “neighbours” element of partnership and programming: building genuine relationships with local residents, businesses and community groups in and around Newham, not limited to, organisations and individuals.
· Deliver and host events, ensuring each is well-run, well-attended and on-brand.
· Be present at all and not only partnership events to ensure smooth operation and a warm, personable experience for partners, clients and guests.
· Act as the central on-site point of contact for the partnerships contractor or clients, translating their plans into seamless delivery.
· Establish and maintain a permanent local market and community presence, and represent the hotel at local events.
· Support community initiatives such as the Good Hotel membership and recurring local programming (e.g. masterclasses, social nights).
· Maintain local partnerships and develop sources of potential business from local companies.
· Handle all guest communications pre, during and post event, with appropriate follow-up action.
· Arrange and carry out hotel show rounds, and ensure charges and guest accounts are updated accurately on Mews.
· Support the ongoing management of sales leads and assist in pro-active sales and marketing activities as required.
· Maintain and expand on current partnership in line with the partnership manager or by your own initiative.
· Proactively sourcing partnerships and creation of proposals and engagement strategies.
· Monitoring of multiple inboxes including, Events and personal.
· Identify and develop sources of potential business from local companies.
· Assist the Groups and Events Manager with sourcing, enquiry sequence, planning and execution of events.
Requirements
· Team player, working collaboratively with all departments and with the external partnerships contractor.
· Proactive, self-motivated and hands-on, with a genuine passion for hospitality and people.
· Confident hosting events as the personable, welcoming face of the hotel.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, reading) in the English language.
· Flexible approach to working hours, including some evenings and weekends to be present at events.
· Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
Key Performance Indicators
· Smooth, personable delivery of all events, measured through partner, client and guest feedback.
· Strength and growth of local community relationships and a visible presence among our neighbours.
· Promotion and upselling of the spaces and services offered by the events team and hotel.
· Accurate, timely Mews accounts and timely activity reporting.
· Timely, high-standard guest and client communication, and increased repeat and local business wherever possible.
Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
