Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant for their dedicated SEND resource base for the full academic year starting in September. This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties and learning needs.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant within the resource base, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND needs
- Support learning activities that develop pupils’ communication, social and academic skills
- Assist with the delivery and monitoring of EHCP targets
- Help pupils manage transitions, emotional regulation and daily routines within a calm and nurturing environment
- Work closely with a skilled and collaborative team of teachers and SEND professionals

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism or communication difficulties
- Is patient, empathetic and passionate about inclusive education
- Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of each child
- Holds relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)
- Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team
