Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated hard working, reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work in the cold environment, in chillers and freezers and also outside in the open air.
There will be 2 different rotating shift patterns.
Week 1 = Mon - Tuesday 4am to 2pm, Wednesday 4am - 1pm, Thursday- Friday 4am -12pm
Week 2 = Monday - Tuesday 12pm to 10pm, Wednesday 1pm-10pm, Thursday - Friday 12pm -8pm
You may be required to work extra hours and be available to work weekends during busy periods
Pay range: £1,943 - 2,184 gross per 4 weeks
Duties
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers efficiently and safely.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring correct storage within the warehouse.
- Perform picking and packing of orders.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and stock movements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space to promote a safe working environment.
- Operate forklifts safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient booking in and out tracking, ensuring full traceability of food products.
- Proficient in load unloading techniques for safe handling of food products.
- Ability to perform safe manual handling as required by the role.
