Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a flatbed lorry equipped with a HIAB crane. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle specialised lifting equipment. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting our commitment to timely and secure deliveries.
Duties
- Operate HGV Class 2 lorries with flatbed and HIAB crane to deliver goods to various locations
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Load and unload cargo using the HIAB crane, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes efficiently, considering traffic and delivery priorities
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles equipped with HIAB cranes
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence is essential
- Knowledge of current road safety legislation and best practices in commercial transportation
