Production Operative (Dress Operative)
Starting Salary: £12.37 - £14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance)
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)

Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Production Operative (Dress Operative) to work within a highly skilled, dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Operative will work alongside the Primary Supervisor and the wider team to support daily production operations.

Job Role
-
Following part set-up sheets and customer work schedules
-
Using hand tools such as grinders and burning equipment to dress heavy-duty steel parts
-
Completing daily operation, TPM (total preventative/production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets

Completing tasks using engineering drawings
-
Inspecting quality of parts to maintain high standards and completing first-off checks

Inspecting all equipment to ensure it is in a safe working condition

Carrying out other ad hoc duties as requested by your line manager (within the scope of your skills and capabilities)
Qualifications and Experience
-
Previous experience in weld dressing is beneficial but not essential
-
Experience within the manufacturing sector is desirable but not essential

Experience using engineering drawings is beneficial but not essential

Full training will be provided upon commencement, along with ongoing development opportunities
