Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in residential care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalised care, supporting children's development, and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children in residential settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist children with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs and circumstances
- Support children's educational activities and encourage their participation in social and recreational programmes
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behavioural observations, and progress notes
- Drive children safely to appointments or outings as required, adhering to all road safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to promote consistent support for each child
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures diligently to ensure a secure environment for children
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely as needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of child development principles and the ability to implement care plans accordingly
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development
- Flexibility to work shifts as required within the residential setting

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
