Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress/Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Serve food items when required, maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and dining spaces
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, creating a welcoming environment
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure the safety of customers and staff
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
- Previous experience in hospitality or barista roles is desirable but not essential
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary
