About the Role
Bridgestone Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Operative on behalf of a leading accommodation hire company. This is a practical, hands-on role preparing and maintaining accommodation units to a high standard, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
Principal Duties
- Follow direction from the Site Foreman and Senior Maintenance Operative to meet delivery deadlines
- Prepare accommodation units to required standards prior to dispatch
- Report faults on units that fall below company standards
- Assess units upon return from hire
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies and report any issues
- Ensure correct PPE is worn and suitable for each task
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all units meet company standards and specifications
- Carry out electrical and water testing before delivery
- Spray paint and hand paint units
- Clean units as required
- Fit out units with furniture as per client requirements
- Conduct PAT testing on white goods
- Paint unit roofs
- Perform basic carpentry work
- Work independently and use initiative
- Communicate any training needs to management
- Work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Monitor stock levels of materials and furniture
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on maintenance or similar experience
- Basic carpentry/DIY skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop
