Hours of work Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am– 5:00pm, Thursday: 6:00am – 4:45pm
GenTech Recruitment are currently working in partnership with our client to recruit an experienced Plasma Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering a 4-day working week and long-term career prospects.
The Role
You will be responsible for programming and operating CNC plasma cutting machinery, producing high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Duties
- Program and operate CNC plasma cutting machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
- Set machine controls including speed, feed rate, and cutting parameters
- Plan work sequences to ensure efficient production
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards
- Work to production targets and deadlines
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Essential
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience operating plasma machines
- Experience with CNC machinery (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
