You will work in all weather conditions and be part of a team that responds when customers need us most. Flexibility is important, as the role includes early mornings and evenings (with rotas provided in advance), along with a positive attitude, resilience, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
A full UK manual driving licence is a requirement for this role
In this role you will
- Carry out essential work on our gas network, including mains and service replacements, repairs to gas escapes, and other gas distribution activities that keep customers safe and supplied
- Work alongside the Team Leader to complete excavation, pipe laying, jointing, connections, and repairs, helping maintain a safe and reliable network
- Operate a range of plant and equipment, including mini excavators and pneumatic tools, following all training, safety, and maintenance requirements
- Champion high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring work is completed safely and responsibly
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and local communities through clear communication and a customer-focused approach
- Drive company vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and resources to support operational activities
- Represent NGN professionally at all times, helping to deliver an excellent customer experience and a positive impact in the communities we serve

- Comfortable working in a hands-on outdoor role across a range of weather conditions
