Mousehold Heath is a unique mixed woodland and heathland open space, located at the heart of Norwich. We are looking for a second warden to come and join the team. You will be delivering an agreed programme of practical, interpretive, ecological and administrative works, balancing the needs of recreation and conservation, where both visitors and wildlife are kept in mind.
The role will include engaging with visitors, patrolling, leading guided walks, overseeing contractors and organising and leading volunteers to carrying out a wide range of practical management work as outlined in the management plan.

- Contribute to the day-to-day management of Mousehold Heath and carry out patrolling and uphold the bylaws of the Heath
- Organise and oversee works undertaken by both Norwich City Councils contractors, and other contractors
- Enhance peoples' understanding and enjoyment of Mousehold Heath and promote the Heath
- Carry out folder administration to include raising purchase orders, using a purchase card and keeping a record of expenditure
- Attend and produce quality warden reports for the Mousehold Heath Full Conservators and Subgroup meetings
- Understand and comply with legislation, including Health and Safety at Work and other regulations including writing and implementing risk assessments as required for Mousehold Heath
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Mousehold Heath Management Plan:
- Manage and lead volunteer grous
- Undertake practical management work

- Effective team player with a proven ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues, managers and other stakeholders

- Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
