Job Title: Qualified Dental Nurse
Location: Sale, Manchester
Hourly Rate: £12.50-£13 p/h

We are introducing a flexible shift pattern designed to offer our staff more control over their schedules. This innovative scheme operates on a 2-week rotating basis, providing a balanced mix of early and late shifts. In Week 1, the working hours are from 7:45am to 2:00pm, and in Week 2, the shift changes to 2:00pm to 8:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
- Prepare the treatment room and dental instruments for each patient, ensuring proper sterilisation and compliance with infection control protocols.
- Record and update patient dental records, including medical history, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
- Provide chairside support, including mixing materials and maintaining a clear operating field.
- Offer guidance and reassurance to patients, addressing any concerns and helping them feel at ease during their visit.
- Manage dental supplies within your surgery.
- Coordinate with the dental team to optimise appointment schedules and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to relevant guidelines, regulations, and legislation, maintaining a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid dental nursing qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Previous experience as a dental nurse is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (SOE)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to maintain a professional and empathetic demeanour under pressure.
