Justteachers is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive SEMH school in Skipton on a full-time basis. This role is to start in September 2026.
This role is ideal for an individual with hands-on experience working with students with Autism and ADHD who is passionate about providing meaningful support to children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group mentoring support to students with Autism, ADHD, and other behavioural needs.
- Develop tailored behaviour support plans to meet individual needs and support students' academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Establish positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence, self-esteem, and resilience within the school setting.
- Willingness to Teach/ Lead classes (If required) - Training Provided
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children and young people with Autism and ADHD.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- Commitment to supporting the welfare and development of all students.
