Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to support our 18-year-old client with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact to our client’s life through supporting her independent living aspirations and access to the community.
Our client is a cheerful and thoughtful individual with a strong sense of humour and diverse interests. This role primarily focuses on facilitating our client’s access to the wider community by supporting her participation in a variety of social events such as activity clubs, cinema visits, dog walks and meeting friends. Additionally, this role requires assistance with personal care including manual handling to support our client’s accessibility as a wheelchair user. There are no experience requirements for this role and full training will be provided, making this a strong opportunity for students interested in pursing healthcare disciplines to gain valuable experience. Successful candidates will join a small team of experienced carers in our client’s 1:1 private home environment and will have access to support throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supporting our client accessing and engaging with social activities
· Providing companionship and encouragement with our client’s independence
· Supporting our client’s communication with others
· Assistance with personal care, including manual handling and medication administration
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
