Vehicle Technician
David Payne & Son are looking for an experienced and motivated workshop based Vehicle Technician to join our busy team based in Aylesford.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of commercial vehicles and LCV's while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs efficiently and safely
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance including brakes, suspension, clutches, cambelts, and engine work
- Ensure all paperwork and job records are completed accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Good attention to detail and a professional attitude
