Reablement Care Worker – London Borough of Bexley

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable Reablement Care Workers to join our thriving team in London Borough of Bexley surrounding areas. Annually, we deliver over 2 million hours of vital care services, including in the local area of London Borough of Bexley and surrounding areas, supporting our reablement service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, domestic services, and companionship, to help them regain independence within a set period.

What Will You Be Doing?
Our Reablement Care Workers work within the London Borough of Bexley community, enabling our service users to live independently in their own homes. Typical support can include:
- Personal care and hygiene
- Food preparation
- Administering medication
- Shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Light housework and other domestic chores
- Companionship and social support
- Enabling and supporting
- Confidence building
Requirements:
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
- Must pass an Enhanced DBS check
- Attend and pass a full 4-day induction training course
- Provide references from previous employers
- Must live local to London Borough of Bexley and surrounding areas
- Must have availability during core hours (07:00 to 14:00, 16:00 to 22:00)

You need to be calm, patient, hard-working, reliable, and resourceful, with an ability to always maintain professionalism, think on your feet, and stay calm in stressful situations. Above all, you must be committed to improving the quality of life for vulnerable people.
This role is ideal if you have experience caring for a relative or other vulnerable people and are looking for a new and rewarding way to put these skills to good use. You must be local to commute to Tooting, Balham and surrounding areas and be familiar with all locations.
We offer flexible working hours but have particularly high demand during the following core times
