Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced leave-in carer to provide compassionate and professional support to individuals in their own homes. Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of clients.
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and medication management.
- Support clients with household tasks including light cleaning, meal preparation, and organising daily routines.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a respectful and trusting relationship.
- Follow company policies regarding confidentiality and client privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a leave-in carer or similar role within a care home or home care setting.
- Valid driving licence and ability to travel between clients’ homes as required.
- Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and basic first aid.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating via digital platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support individuals in need of care.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability.
