We’re The Drain Group — a growing, hands-on drainage team providing fast, reliable service across Birmingham and The West midlands. We’re looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer who takes pride in doing the job right, whether it’s a late-night unblock or a planned CCTV survey.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Attend reactive call-outs (unblocks, descaling, root cutting) using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) and electro mechanical cleaning equipment
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Use a tablet/Phone to manage job details, capture photos, complete paperwork
- Work safely and independently, following RAMS and maintaining your van, tools, and PPE.
- Keep clear, accurate notes and communicate updates with Clients and managers
- Be on an On-Call rota for Out of Hours work with additional over time optional
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- 3+ years’ experience working in drainage or a similar field.
- Confident using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ)
- CCTV survey equipment optional
- A full UK manual driving licence and the ability to handle van driving and parking across busy areas.
- A practical, hands-on approach with tidy, reliable workmanship.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work — lifting covers, handling hoses, and similar tasks.
Desirable (training can be provided):
- WJA Jetting Qualification
- Confined Space (Medium Risk) certificate (optional)
- CSCS Card

Pay: £30,424.00-£50,765.00 per year
