Location: Tokers Green, Reading
Salary: £32,916 – £47,472 per annum (M1 – UPS1)*
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start: September 2026 (or sooner / when available)

What you’ll be doing
- Planning and delivering engaging, sensory‑rich lessons tailored to individual needs
- Leading teaching and learning for a small group of pupils, ensuring progress, wellbeing and joy in learning
- Using early years principles—play, exploration, communication and interaction—to support development
- Mentoring and guiding classroom support staff
- Taking on curriculum leadership responsibilities, including monitoring standards and leading CPD
- Contributing to whole‑school planning and helping shape a nurturing, inclusive culture
What we’re looking for
- QTS or QTLS (essential)
- Strong experience in early years, play‑based learning or child‑centred approaches
- Experience in SEN, ASD or SLD settings (desirable but not essential)
- Confident planning, assessment and behaviour support skills
- Ability to adapt communication and teaching approaches to meet diverse needs
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning pathways
- A calm, positive, compassionate approach
