We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a client receiving palliative care in their own home.

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with the client, their family, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care tailored to the individual's needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
- Supporting with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Assisting with medication in accordance with care plans and company policies.
- Offering emotional support and companionship to the client and their family.
- Supporting with meal preparation and encouraging hydration and nutrition.
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any changes in the client's condition.
- Promoting comfort, independence, and quality of life.
- Working collaboratively with district nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Following safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A caring, compassionate, and patient nature.
- Previous experience in care or support work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally sensitive situations.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting individuals receiving palliative or end-of-life care.
- Care Certificate or Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification.
- Medication administration training.
- Moving and Handling training.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if required).
- Active DBS
