Responsibilities
- Operate and utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete construction and maintenance tasks
- Perform welding and masonry work with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Assist with carpentry, roofing, and other building-related activities
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of materials in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain the integrity of structures through repairs and refurbishments
- Support commercial driving duties when required, including transporting materials between sites
- Follow project specifications and technical drawings to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction or maintenance work
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Valid driving licence for commercial vehicles preferred but not essential
- Experience working on construction sites or in industrial environments is desirable
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
