We are seeking a professional, reliable and approachable Safety Officer to join our team at various sites across Essex! This role's purpose is to provide a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public through the effective delivery of security services. The Security Officer will protect people, property, and assets while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence at all times.
Essential Criteria:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable but not Essential Criteria:
- Previous security experience in retail, commercial, corporate, or public environments.
- First Aid qualification.
- CCTV Licence.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Maintain vigilance for suspicious activity and security breaches.
- Prevent unauthorised access to buildings and restricted areas.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures as required.
- Operate CCTV, access control, and security systems in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform key management and lock/unlock duties.
Incident Management:
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports.
- Liaise with emergency services when required.
- Preserve evidence and assist with investigations.
- Escalate concerns to management in a timely manner.
Customer Service:
- Provide a professional and welcoming presence for visitors and customers.
- Assist members of the public with enquiries and directions.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants, retailers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Act as an ambassador for the client and security provider.
Health & Safety:
- Conduct health and safety inspections and report hazards.
- Ensure compliance with site procedures and legislation.
- Support evacuation procedures and emergency response plans.
- Report accidents, defects, and unsafe conditions.
Administration:
- Complete patrol records and daily occurrence reports accurately.
- Maintain all required documentation and logs.
- Ensure all records are factual, accurate, and completed within required timescales.

The post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role and operational requirements of the business.
Hours & shift pattern:
Monday - Sunday various timings.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
