About the Role
As an Animal Management Lecturer, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of further education and apprenticeship programmes, supporting students with varying needs and abilities. You will contribute to curriculum development, maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an outstanding learner experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Animal Management courses
- Develop and maintain engaging curriculum materials and resources
- Support, guide and mentor learners to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to course leadership, quality assurance and curriculum development
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space
- Participate in student recruitment, enrolment and progression activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and organisational objectives
- Engage in continuous professional development and appraisal processes
Essential Criteria
- Relevant industry experience within Animal Management
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Subject expertise and a relevant qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience or understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment methods
- Ability to support and motivate learners with diverse needs
